LOCAL (Newburyport) CLASSES
Private Yoga Instruction
If you prefer to work one to one, or with your partner, classes are held in my Newburyport home studio. We design classes that are appropriate for your individual needs and experience level.
Private classes may include instruction in Kripalu Yoga, stress reduction techniques, focusing on a particular area of the body, strength training with weights or bands, as well as exploring all of the ways to slow down the aging process.
NEW! Monday Morning Stretch and Relax Workshop
Monday mornings, 9:00 am to 10:15 am

Start the week off right. You've heard it before..."You need to learn to relax. You need to stretch the joints and muscles... OR ELSE ." (fill in the blanks).
In this four session 75 minute class, no matter what your body type, challenges with stress, or flexibility issues, you will be instructed on how to safely and optimally stretch out your entire body and bring your mind into a peaceful state. Kripalu Yoga classes appropriate for those with previous Yoga experience. Class size is small and personalized instruction is gentle yet dynamic and includes conscious breathing, meditation, deep relaxation as well as all the basic and traditional asanas and vinyasas. Focus is on stretching all the muscles, developing a meditative focus and deeply relaxing as we practice. Meet at Stillness in Motion, 10 Prince Place, Newburyport, MA a few minutes before posted start time.

Yoga on the Beach
June through September, join us in 2008!
Experience the joys of practicing Kripalu Yoga by the sea on Plum Island. It is a uniquely relaxing venue for those with prior Yoga experience and beginners. We meet Saturday mornings at 7:30 am at the Parker River Refuge, on the beach behind the first parking lot. When you get to the beach, walk to the left of the large sign. Bring a towel or mat. Drop in fee is $10 for the one hour class.
